Where has all the time gone?
Barely 9 months ago, New York City District ARES underwent a major reorganization that began with my appointment as NYC District Emergency Coordinator. District leadership appointments quickly followed that included District Support staff as well as new EC appointments in Kings, Queens and New York counties.
When I first assumed this position, one of my primary stated goals was the Revitalization of the five counties that make up the New York City District ARES organization through the implementation of a major District- wide membership recruitment program.
With that goal in mind, I am happy to announce the appointment of James Gallo, (KB2FMH), as an Assistant District Emergency Coordinator for the NYC District ARES. His primary role will be that of Recruitment Officer and he will be tasked with interfacing with each of you to assist in establishing an ongoing membership recruitment program for each of the five counties.
The future of the New York City District ARES organization is within our control and I look forward to improving our capabilities together.
